Residents - predominantly of Madurese descent - continue to uphold their long-standing tradition of communal assistance, a defining feature of their social identity.

This was evident in Sengon Hamlet (RT 16 RW 02) as locals flooded the streets carrying simple tools, working together to repair damaged village road access.

Not driven by wages or obligation, their collective effort stemmed from a deep sense of ownership.

"This is our shared road, and we want to make it comfortable. Since it's built with village funds, we should contribute too," said community leader Faizal Mustofa on Monday (5/5/2025).

The initiative was encouraged by Pringgodani Village Head Abdul Malek, who has consistently promoted active community participation in development projects during his leadership.

He believes physical development without resident involvement creates meaningless assets, expressing gratitude that this cooperative spirit endures.

"I'm thankful to see Pringgodani residents, especially in Sengon Hamlet, still holding fast to gotong royong. This isn't just about roads - it's about building mutual ownership," said Abdul Malek.

During his tenure, he hopes to nurture this tradition, considering living communal values - not just infrastructure - as the greatest legacy for these resilient Madurese-descended communities.

In Pringgodani, such activities aren't seasonal events but a collective way of life, particularly for the Madurese community renowned for maintaining solidarity values amidst modernity's pressures.
