Around 1,200 participants from various regions joined the 5-kilometer run, which started and finished in Abirama. Besides celebrating Doctors' Day, the event also served as a platform for health promotion and regional potential development.

Tuban Regional Secretary Budi Wiyana expressed appreciation for the selection of Tuban as the host. He stated that the event was an important opportunity to showcase local culture, cuisine, and tourist destinations to outsiders.

"This aligns with the directive of Tuban Regent, affectionately known as Mas Lindra, that Tuban is ready to be a gracious host by highlighting local hospitality and tourism potential," said Budi.

He added that regional-scale events like SunriseRun would positively impact the local economy, particularly for micro, small, and medium enterprises (MSMEs), hospitality, and the creative industry.

"SunriseRun not only strengthens solidarity among medical workers but also integrates the health, sports, and tourism sectors," he explained.

Chairman of IDI East Java, Dr. Sutrisno, explained the reason behind choosing Tuban as this year’s host. He stated that Tuban has adequate and rapidly developing public facilities.

"Tuban is a beautiful and growing city. Its public facilities are supportive and can motivate people to live healthier lives," he said.

He expressed gratitude for the support of the Tuban Regency Government and the public’s enthusiasm in making the event a success. According to him, this collaboration demonstrates the strong partnership between doctors and local government in improving public health.

In addition to the morning run, the Doctors' Day celebration included educational activities such as health outreach visits to high schools across Tuban Regency.

Dr. Sutrisno hopes this event will strengthen synergy between IDI and the Tuban Regency Government in enhancing healthcare services and supporting the national health resilience program.

"We hope IDI East Java will grow more solid and ready to collaborate for the health of East Java’s people," he concluded.
